Personally I still prefer hotels, but that's a personal choice. The reason is I like my bed made in the morning especially after a night out. I also don't see it too much of an interruption in the day as most of the time I'm there I want to be out anyway! But nice looking place looks like you had a great time.

Agreed about Amsterdam – hotels can be a pain for some, especially if you want to avoid annoying room service in the early hours. MOst of the time we were out we would be out till early hours anyway. There's also a couple of really other good options in central Amsterdam. One is the white room @ B&B 1680. It's on the bedandbreakfast.com website.
